Chief Instructor (Shidoin)
T. Marquis Ramsey Sensei, 4th Dan, was born on November 23, 1969 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is the Senior Pastor of Mount Sinai Faith, Hope, and Love Ministries, and Head of Seishidokan Aikido both nationally, and internationally. As a man of faith, a Master Seishidokan Aikidoist, and a peace advocate, Ramsey Sensei has developed and applies all of the characteristics of his beliefs and skills into his teaching of Seishidokan Aikido. T. Marquis Ramsey has over 20 years of experience in Aikido and Daito Ryu Aikijujitsu. His peaceful nature and character, strong and technical Aikido, and compelling spiritual way, are attributes he imparts to his students with the utmost passion. T. Marquis Ramsey has both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Christian theology, Buddhist Studies, Biblical studies/Ancient languages, and peace studies. He has both lived and trained in Japan, and other locations in Europe.
Assistant Instructor (Fukushidoin)
Lane Gilbert Sensei, 3rd Dan, was born August 30, 1946 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was first introduced to Aikido in 1975 while stationed in Spokane, Washington while in the Air Force. He practiced the art sporatically until 1981, in such places as, Nobnoster, Missouri and Utrect, Holland. Upon reassisgnment to Vance AFB in Enid Oklahoma, Lane Found that two of the top instructors in the country had originated from this small town. The two were Master Karl Geis (10th dan in Aikido), and Sensei Chuck Clark (8th dan in Aikido, 6th dan in Judo). Clark Sensei (founder of Jiyushinkai Aikido) had the most profound effect on Lane's Aikido training and life philosophy. Lane was promoted to Sandan (3rd degree black belt) in 1988. He has also been fortunate to train under such Aikido notables as K. Geis and T. Miyake. Lane Sensei is a graduate of Park College in Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Psychology and has held such positions as a Substance Abuse Counselor and Family Counselor. He headed the United States Air Force Substance Abuse Program for 15 years. In 1995 he made a career change and started his own business, "Gilbert's Cue Repair and Table Service" which has been very successful for the past 12 years. Lane is married to his beautiful wife, Dottie, who is also a Shodan (1st degree black belt in Jiyushinkai Aikido). The two of them reside in Thomasville, North Carolina. They have two married children and five grandchildren. Lane Sensei is now a direct student of T. Marquis Ramsey Sensei and instructs the beginner's classes at the Mt. Sinai Aikido Club in Thomasville, NC. Lane was recently appointed the title of Fukushidoin (qualified assistant instructor).
